Health Journeys

Health Journeys is my favorite guided imagery resource center, run by Belleruth Naparstek, a LIcensed Clinical Social Worker, from Ohio, who has been teaching about the incredible benefits of guided imagery for decades.  I recommend her resources for certain clinical issues due to the specificty of her healing produts.

Guided imagery meditation is a gentle but powerful technique that focuses and directs the imagination in proactive, positive ways… 

Even though it is a form of meditation, guided imagery is easier for most to use than mindfulness meditation, as it requires less time and discipline to develop a high level of skill. This is because it seduces the mind with appealing sensory images that have their own natural pull. And because it results in a kind of naturally immersive trance state, it is rightly called a form of self-hypnosis as well.

Insight Timer is my favorite app– I use it daily to listen to guided meditations to start my day. I use it to help keep track of my meditation sessions.
